10 indicators of burnout you shouldn't ignore

  • Are you cynical or critical at work?

  • Do you dread going to work and have trouble getting focused?

  • Are you irritable with your patients, or impatient with your co-workers?

  • Are you out of energy?

  • Do you find it hard to concentrate and/or be productive?

  • Have your sleep habits changed?

  • Do you use food or drugs or alcohol to feel better or to numb yourself?

  • Do you have stomach aches, or headaches, gut issues?

  • Do you find yourself feeling anxious and depressed?

  • Have you lost joy in the things you used to enjoy?
