Lets examine the six most crucial decisions that have shaped your life. These decisions include choices you have made about what to do as well as decisions about what not to do. It's likely that these are ongoing decisions that continue to produce results, even to this day. Examples might include joining a religion, forming a friendship with someone, attending a specific school, getting married or divorced, or having children. Grab a sheet of paper or go to the notes section on your phone. These decisions don't need to be listed in any particular order, but try to identify the six most significant and impactful decisions you have made.

Each of these six decisions has played a defining role in shaping the person you are today. They have influenced your perspectives, beliefs, relationships, and experiences in immeasurable ways. By identifying and reflecting on these decisions, you can gain a deeper understanding of how they have shaped your life trajectory and inform future decision-making. Take some time to carefully consider each decision, their impact, and what they have taught you.

Here are mine six:

  • Leave home and go to college

  • Get married

  • To have 4 children

  • To go to Dental Hygiene School

  • Maintain friendships

  • Become a Life coach

Carefully look at each decision and do you consciously choose to make each decision every day or is it habit to continue this decision? What if you chose different? How would this impact your life?

Learning to pull apart our decisions and consciously decide to choose or not choose them again will bring clarity to the things we can control. It is easy to believe we do not get to make choices, but when we pan out and redecide we see things in a new and different light.
